Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin is one of the leading educational, research and cultural centers in the Polesye Region. The University was founded in 1944. Since the University was established more than 50.000 highly-qualified experts including public officials, Doctors of Sciences, PhDs, Olympic champions, heads of the departments and headmasters of schools graduated from the University. Every year the University trains foreign students in educational programs; some of them are taught in English as well (i.e. a master’s degree program "Theory and methods of education and upbringing (by fields and levels of education)"- profile "Educational management"-, PhD programs "General Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy and Education"-, "Optics"- and a retraining program "Modern foreign language (Social-economic activity)").

Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin has created a strict system of control over the daily attendance of students. In order to maintain the high quality of the educational process and to ensure the implementation of educational programs by students, daily control over the conduct and attendance by students and their performance of academic assignments has been established. Students take part in the research seminars and the consultations with academic supervisors. Many international students take part in the scientific projects. All the students from the People’s Republic of China participate in the conferences held at the university, in Belarus and abroad. A high level of their scientific training is confirmed by scientific publications. The educational establishment "Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin"- complies strictly with the Order of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus d/d July 29, 2021 № 577 "About the measures to improve the quality of training at the second level of Higher education"-. Training of undergraduates is carried out at the premises of the university. Teaching staff with a high level of proficiency in the English language work with the foreign students. Scientific and methodological support of the educational process meets the requirements for Higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus. According to the teaching plan each undergraduate is provided with educational literature and learning materials. Individual consultations for foreign undergraduates are organized on a regular basis. There is an appropriate amount of computers with the software available for students. Admission of foreign citizens (i.e. collecting the documents, entrance examinations and admission ceremony) is held in accordance with the rules of admission for people who want to apply for a Higher education degree of the second stage, approved by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus d/d 02.02.2012 № 110. The students who don’t know the language of instruction and the students whose professional competence is not enough for obtaining the content of a master’s program are not admitted. Any cases of admission of the students who don’t meet these requirements are excluded. The University has organized all possible measures to prevent foreign students from catching a corona virus infection at the classrooms and laboratories; measures to control the attendance of master’s degree students have been also developed. The University has taken all possible measures to ensure a high level of educational process. Classroom fund is equipped with modern classrooms and computer tables, chairs, whiteboards and technical training tools. There is access to the Internet.
